Following the successful completion of the access roads and foundation work as scheduled, the tower bases of both wind turbines have now also been completed. This clears the way for the next phase: tower assembly.
The first tower components have already been delivered and are currently being pre-assembled. Each steel tower consists of eleven segments (rings), which will be erected step by step over the coming weeks. Once completed, the towers will reach a height of 157.2 meters. With the subsequent installation of the nacelle and generator, the hub height will be 162 meters. After the rotor blades are mounted, the turbines will have a total height of 249.5 meters.
At the same time, work on laying the cable routes is progressing. These activities are expected to be completed by the end of September. Delivery of the major components is currently scheduled for mid to late October.
The commissioning of the first wind turbine is currently planned for early December, with the second turbine expected to follow in early 2027. As the final assembly and commissioning work depends on weather conditions, these dates may still be subject to change.
The two wind turbines are a key component of our fischer Energy Ecosystem. Together with the existing photovoltaic systems, they will help cover a large share of the company’s overall energy demand from renewable sources in the future. The electricity generated will be used directly at the site to power manufacturing processes, making an important contribution to the sustainable energy supply of the fischer Group.
